Our Company
Wessex International Transport Services Ltd was first started by Robbi Watson and partners in August 1980 after learning his trade at Essex International Transport.
Robbi ran the day to day business and soon moved to an office in Finedon, Northants. He successfully grew the name and reputation of the company over the following years, with excellent personal service and many years of knowledge in the abnormal, low loader transport industry behind him.
In 1998 he was joined by his soon to be son-in-law Al Cousins. After retiring in February 2003, having passed on all the European low loader knowledge he could, he handed the business over to Al.
The business continued to thrive in all aspects of the European low loader market and to this day, some 40 years after it started, the name Wessex is still going strong and taking care of its customers needs and requirements to the very best of its ability.
Realising the need to continue to move with the times, Wessex International Transport, although still the same company, has re-branded itself with a more user friendly name and image. With the launch of the website we are now a far more self explanatory “Low Loaders Europe”.
We operate from a base in Corby, Northants. If you have any out of gauge, too heavy, high, wide or long cargo that you need to move, then please contact us and we will do all we can to meet your specific road haulage transport requirements.
